These Postsecret books are always a mixed experience – always illuminating, but dang they can sure be depressing. I am a junior in high school. They confirm that our rich interior lives are not defined by how old we are, and that with aging comes not only loss but also the possibility of grace and wisdom.
It’s the best resolution I have ever made. Check it out – you won’t be sorry. You may be surprised ov this, but the appeal of this book is not so much to voyeuristic impulses as it posttsecret to that very sense of commonality.
The layout and pictures are beautiful, and I enjoyed how Warren arranged the secrets in this book chronologically, as though they were following someone’s lifespan. I have followed the postsecret website postsecret.

I say that fondly. The postcards narrate childhood stories that have never been spoken; they voice the guarded confessions of our parents and grandparents.
One page would be heart wrenching and I would cry and then the next page was something that would cause me to laugh uncontrollably. Other than that, this is a beautiful and quick read. No trivia or quizzes yet. It makes me remember when I was a kid and felt safe. Like the site, the book includes a wide variety of sad, angry, funny, vague, and intriguing cards.
The best part though, was knowing real people actually wrote these and they weren’t made up even a little bit.
