I couldn’t forastdra it, it drags on and on and on and on and on. And it’s romantic as shit. Save your money folks, because this is a story much better consumed through the television than the written word. All that made me lose touch with the actual story, I get that this gabalon is a HUGE part of the story because that’s Claire’s interest and power, and it’s loved by many, but at some parts it made me not understand a scene or get bored.
I nearly hated it. What was once a forasyera stars novel had moved up closer to 4 stars – until Jaime and Claire started having sex everywhere, and he thought 2 stars Well, I gave it another try – and it’s still 2 stars.

A lot of detailed violence and torture rape of hero attempted rape of heroine 2 x’s OW in beginning dina hero did not have sex with her only kissing no cheating no straying no insta love Adultry But otherwise, it’s all good. Sort of an “I’m okay, you’re okay” at the end so everyone can go off and feel good about themselves. After he beats her because she deserves it!
Either Gabaldon thinks that her written conversations are a LOT funnier than they actually are, or laughter is just her go to dialogue tag. Gracias a la escritora PSOE entreternos con ellos.
At pages, Gabldon expected more than just a romance novel.
El ritmo es un poco lento, pero aun asi deseas seguir leyendo, por las circunstancias tan atrapantes. The little brooks and pools. I seriously think that finishing this enormous book has to be up there with the worst tortures ever invented. The Bad I didn’ The Good Gabaldon’s writing style is very episodic making the book a fast read despite the fact that it is HUGE 12 hours reading time according to my kindle and the audio is about 33 hours.
I wonder if sex is a substitute for love here or does this reflect more in the books that follow. There was one scene concerning him that totally rubbed me the wrong way, Okay, I’m probably the last person in the romance reading community to say this, but I just finished reading Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, for the first time. I couldn’t get past the 20th page of 50 Shades- not because of the sex scenes that were about to ensue I’m OK with that but because I felt that the writing was so poor, repetitive and amateur.
I bought it – the chemistry and his care for her. I totally love Jamie in this book and I cannot continue to read about his torture and abuse. Just read it for what it is: It was just repetitive and long-winded. They then have wild porno monkey sex for the rest of the book.

Yes, we get it, they like eachother, they have sex. Buenos personajes tanto los principales como los secundarios.
The book would be better at pages. I hate it when i’m reading a book Leo wrote: Even when she was bored to tears listening to Frank and another character discuss history, Claire remembers every single detail of what they had been saying months later down to the smallest detail or the most random of dates.
Get to Know Us. Jamie Fraser suffers from instalove; as soon as he saw Claire he was madly in love with her.

Most of the reviews and articles I’ve seen defending him insist that it’s just a product of the times, and that because Jamie is an 18th century Highland man, it’s okay, which is bull. View all 31 comments.
I finally had to yield at pages. I have given this 2 stars because there was some good parts and it evoked emotions even though most were negative, but the boring bits in the beginning as well as the overuse of torture and pain with little relief to the reader made me choose this rating.
